The council voted to accept the FY 2024 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant under Mayor's Order 1. Mayor's Order 2 directed $27,000 into a police special account for building renovations, and Mayor's Order 3 authorized $15,000 to a human resources special account for police and fire indemnification costs. Under Motion 4, the council appointed Monica Torres as the city's designated individual responsible for soliciting private contributions for municipality-sponsored events.
