Chicopee Retirement Board approves seven superannuation retirements and 20 new members. The board voted unanimously to approve retirement for seven city employees, including William Anderson, a Fire Department lieutenant with 32 years and 3 months of service; Dale Benard, a School Department senior clerk typist with 27 years and 6 months; and Phyllis Sullivan, a School Department accounts payable clerk with 33 years and 7 months of service. The board also admitted 20 new members to the retirement system, approved eight pension calculations with annual pensions ranging from $6,915.48 to $123,722.16, and granted survivor benefits for three deceased beneficiaries.
