Chicopee Retirement Board approves nine retirements, backs counsel after investigation. The board unanimously approved superannuation applications from nine municipal employees, including Fire Chief Daniel Stamborski (29 years service), Patrolman Mark Hammon (32 years three months), Captain Holly Cote of the Police Department (29 years), and Cook Manager Doreen Batchelor (37 years seven months). The board also approved 15 new membership applications to the retirement system and five pension calculations, with yearly pensions ranging from $4,568.52 to $78,758.76.

In new business, the board unanimously voted to retain board counsel Michael Sacco following an Office of the Inspector General investigation review.
