CHICOPEE — Planning Board denies 23-lot residential subdivision after community opposition. The board voted 4-2 to reject Bretta Construction's proposal for a 23-lot subdivision on Pendleton Avenue after abutters raised concerns about traffic, road conditions, woodland loss, and child safety. Applicant representative Robert Levesque explained that terrain and Conservation Commission restrictions barred access from Pendleton Avenue.

The board approved three other development projects unanimously: three business service buildings on East Main Street, a nine-unit residential building with laundromat on Chicopee Street, and a contractor unit building at 672 Fuller Road.
