CHICOPEE — License Commission revokes J & W Banquet Hall licenses after owner violates direct order. The Chicopee License Commission unanimously revoked all licenses for J & W Banquet Hall at 60 Cabot Street on May 21 after finding the owner operated the venue as a bar with alcohol service on March 20, just 24 hours after being explicitly told there could be no further events or alcohol service until required licensing and inspection issues were resolved. Owner Mr.

Stewart did not appear at the May 21 hearing, resulting in a default and unanimous vote to sustain all seven violations and revoke licenses effective immediately. In other business, the Commission approved four special one-day permits for upcoming community events, including permits for Amvets Post 12, the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts, and the Chicopee Pride Fest.
