Chicopee Health Insurance Trust reviews GLP-1 weight loss drug coverage options. The Trust examined four coverage alternatives for GLP-1 medications effective July 1, 2026, amid growing costs and peer discontinuations; MITA, Scantic Valley Trust, and Hampshire Group Insurance Trust have reportedly dropped coverage. Marc Criscitelli's financial report showed claims running as expected through December 2025.
The Trust approved prior meeting minutes and the financial report unanimously. A decision on GLP-1 coverage will follow consultations with the Public Employee Committee and Insurance Advisory Committee, which the Mayor's office will coordinate.
