Council committee approves housing and parks board appointments

Chicopee City Council committee approves two municipal appointments. The Human Resources and Communication Committee unanimously approved David Dymek to the Housing Authority and Julia Robak to the Parks Commission, each for five-year terms effective April 7, 2026. Robak, a Westfield State University student graduating in May with a degree in English and Secondary Education, works as a student teacher at Bellamy Middle School and volunteers as a coach and referee for Ajac Soccer.
The committee postponed Robert St. Lawrence's License Commission appointment after Chair Susan Goff noted the mayor's order contained an incorrect effective date.
