Chicopee City Council approves $250,000 for Abbey Brook project, withdraws land takings. The City Council unanimously approved Mayor Vieau's appropriation of $250,000 for Abbey Brook Revitalization Phase II, to be matched with a $100,000 state grant award. The Council simultaneously withdrew two land-taking orders for the Grattan-McKinstry-Montgomery roundabout project after a property ownership change required plan revisions.

The Council also unanimously approved approximately $125,000 in vehicle replacement appropriations and accepted $6,462 in donations to the Senior Center. A motion to refer artificial intelligence use to committee for public discussion was defeated 2-9, with councilors citing the Mayor's office's existing AI training distribution and implementation efforts.
