CHICOPEE — January 22, 2025 — Chicopee School Committee approves nearly $1 million in warrants and expands virtual school enrollment. The committee cleared all eight action items on its January 22 agenda without dissent, approving two fund transfers totaling $16,000 — item 25-1-12 for $9,000 and item 25-1-13 for $7,000 — alongside warrants of $257,441 and $738,154. The committee also approved item 25-1-18, increasing the district's enrollment in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Virtual School, a move that affects how state Chapter 70 education aid is apportioned. A personal action report logged 14 new hires, one resignation, and the retirement of Nanette Baker, a cafeteria worker at DuPont Middle School with nearly 15 years of service.
