CHICOPEE — January 8, 2025 — Chicopee School Committee approves $4.4 million in warrants and expands chairperson signing authority. The committee, meeting January 8, approved three financial warrants totaling approximately $4,443,042, covering periods ending in 2024, an interim period, and March 2025, with the largest single authorization at $2,515,797. A personal action report listed 13 new hires and seven resignations district-wide, with zero retirements. Under policy item 25-1-7, the committee voted to allow the chairperson to sign special education progress reports, a procedural change affecting how those required documents are authorized within the district. The committee also approved both the 2025 summer schedule and the 2025-2026 academic year calendar.
