CHICOPEE — The City Council Zoning Committee unanimously approved a special permit for fire-damaged home rebuild. Applicant Elijah Zuev of EZ Development Group proposed reconstructing a single-family home at 15 Hudson Avenue, damaged by fire more than 12 months ago. Zuev, with seven years of construction experience, proposed replacing the deteriorated 145 to 146 year old foundation and estimated completion within six months at approximately 400 to 450 thousand dollars.
The Fire Department and Planning Department both recommended approval, noting no concerns and that restoration would not be detrimental to neighborhood character.
