Chicopee City Council approves $249.3 million FY 2027 budget in unanimous vote. The council also appropriated $1,828,824 for high school track repairs, noting that competitive bidding came in below expectations, and $2,000,000 to the Stabilization Fund for Capital Budgeting. Mayor John L.
Vieau reported that most non-union city employees will receive salary increases effective July 1. The council referred multiple salary ordinance revisions to the Ordinance Committee and referred the appointment of Susan LeMay to the Housing Authority to the Human Resources and Communications Committee.
